Danvatirsen is an antisense oligonucleotide that specifically inhibits STAT3, a transcription factor involved in cell survival and proliferation. This compound reduces cell viability and promotes apoptosis in leukemia cell lines, while downregulating the expression of endogenous STAT3 and its downstream target genes. Additionally, Danvatirsen effectively diminishes proliferation and tumorigenicity in models of neuroblastoma and lymphoma.
