Macrophage-activating lipopeptide 2 (MALP-2) is an agonist of Toll-like receptors TLR-2 and TLR-6, which plays a critical role in immune response modulation. MALP-2 enhances phosphorylation of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) and stimulates nitric oxide (NO) release from endothelial cells, promoting vasodilation.
