Phytohemagglutinin (PHA-M) is a potent T-cell activator derived from the seeds of Phaseolus vulgaris. This lectin stimulates the proliferation of human mononuclear leukocytes, leading to the upregulation of ChAT mRNA and enhancing acetylcholine synthesis.
