Zingibroside R1 is a dammarane-type triterpenoid saponin that targets HIV through its inhibitory effects. Isolated from the rhizomes, taproots, and lateral roots of Panax japonicus C. A. Meyer, it demonstrates anti-HIV-1 activity, in addition to notable anti-tumor and anti-angiogenic properties.
