4-MDM (4-Methoxydiphenylmethane) is an orally active anti-inflammatory agent that selectively enhances the activity of the enzyme leukotriene A4 hydrolase (LTA4H) by promoting its aminopeptidase function. This modulation reduces neutrophil recruitment in the lungs through the improved degradation of proline-glycine-proline, leading to a decrease in inflammation.
