Topoisomerase II Inhibitor
NK-611 is a topoisomerase II inhibitor that functions as an epipodophyllotoxin derivative. By inhibiting topoisomerase II with an IC50 of 56 μM, NK-611 induces DNA double-strand breaks, leading to effective antitumor activity. Unlike its parent compound Podofilox, NK-611 does not interfere with microtubule polymerization, thus minimizing associated side effects.
