RNA pol III inhibitor
ML-60218 is a broad-spectrum RNA polymerase III (Pol III) inhibitor with IC₅₀ values of 32 μM in *Saccharomyces cerevisiae* and 27 μM in human cells. It inhibits Pol III–mediated transcription, which is essential for the synthesis of small RNAs such as tRNAs and 5S rRNA. ML-60218 has been shown to disrupt pre-assembled viroplasms and prevent the formation of new ones, indicating its antiviral potential.
