1,2-Dilaurin
Biochemical Assay Reagent
1,2-Dilaurin is a diacylglycerol that features lauric acid at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions, primarily functioning as a biochemical assay reagent. It serves as an internal standard for the quantification of diglycerides in rat desheathed sciatic nerves and facilitates studies on lipid interactions. Additionally, 1,2-Dilaurin is employed in monomolecular films as a substrate to evaluate the effects of pancreatic procolipase and colipase on the enzymatic activity of porcine pancreatic lipase.
