1-Naphthylacetamide

NAID

1-Naphthylacetamide is an orally active nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent (NAIA) that targets inflammatory response pathways. This compound exhibits significant anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antispasmodic, and diuretic activities, making it valuable for research in inflammation and pain mechanisms. In addition, 1-Naphthylacetamide functions as an indole-type auxin, promoting plant cell expansion, differentiation, and fruit enlargement, thereby supporting studies in plant growth regulation. Notably, it also induces central nervous system depression in mice, demonstrating reduced spontaneous activity and muscle tone.
