2′,2′-Difluorodeoxyuridine

Gemcitabine Metabolite

2′,2′-Difluorodeoxyuridine (dFdU) is a key metabolite of Gemcitabine, primarily targeting the nucleoside incorporation pathway. It exhibits a concentration- and schedule-dependent radiosensitizing effect in vitro, enhancing the efficacy of radiation therapy. Additionally, dFdU facilitates cell cycle arrest during the early S phase and promotes apoptosis in cancer cells, making it a valuable reagent for cancer research and therapeutic investigations.
