2-Deoxy-D-galactose

Glucose Analog

2-Deoxy-D-galactose is a glucose analog that primarily targets glycolysis. It has demonstrated the ability to inhibit tumor growth by disrupting the glycolytic pathway. Additionally, this compound interferes with the fucosylation of glycomacromolecules, which can impair memory consolidation across various learning tasks. Furthermore, 2-Deoxy-D-galactose has been shown to hinder glycoprotein fucosylation in vivo, making it a valuable tool in biochemical and cancer research.
