2-Hexyldecanoic acid

Amidating Agent

2-Hexyldecanoic acid is a versatile amidating agent that facilitates the formation of stable amide bonds between carboxylic acid groups and amine-containing biomolecules, particularly in the presence of coupling reagents like EDC, HATU, or DCC. Additionally, this lipid compound serves as an effective inhibitor of aerolysin, thereby preventing bacterial pathogenesis. It is important to note that 2-Hexyldecanoic acid may cause contact dermatitis upon exposure.
