2-NAP

Metabolite of PAHs

2-NAP is a significant metabolite of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) known for its role in inducing oxidative stress and inflammatory responses. This compound disrupts enamel formation and alters the balance of the oral microbiome, thereby increasing the susceptibility to early childhood caries (ECC). Its biological activity makes 2-NAP a valuable tool for research into development-related diseases, particularly in understanding the etiology of childhood caries.
