2ccPA

Antifibrotic Agent

2ccPA is a cyclic phosphatidic acid derivative that functions as an antifibrotic agent by decreasing extracellular matrix (ECM) expression and increasing intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) levels. This compound has been shown to reduce the protein expression levels of type I collagen, CCN2, and α-smooth muscle actin (αSMA). Additionally, 2ccPA inhibits the progression of skin fibrosis by suppressing ECM production in activated skin fibroblasts, making it a valuable tool for research focused on fibrotic diseases and tissue remodeling.
