2N12B is a bioreducible ionizable lipid that features disulfide bonds, enabling efficient formation of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). This compound is primarily utilized for the delivery of mRNA both in vitro and in vivo. Additionally, lipid nanoparticles formulated with 2N12B have demonstrated the capability to deliver siRNA, effectively inhibiting retinal neovascularization.
