3-Methoxybenzamide

ADPRTs Inhibitor

3-Methoxybenzamide is an inhibitor of ADP-ribosyltransferase (ADPRTs) and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP), which plays a significant role in regulating cellular processes. This compound demonstrates the ability to inhibit cell division in Bacillus subtilis, resulting in filamentation and subsequent cell lysis. Additionally, 3-Methoxybenzamide promotes in vitro plant growth, microtuberization, and transformation efficiency in blue potato (Solanum tuberosum L. subsp. andigenum), making it a valuable tool for research in microbiology and plant biotechnology.
