Phytohormone
3-O-Debenzoylzeylenone is an auxin analog that primarily targets phytohormonal pathways. It exhibits the ability to inhibit root growth while promoting shoot growth in Lactuca sativa seedlings. In addition to its role in plant physiology, 3-O-Debenzoylzeylenone demonstrates cytotoxic effects against various cancer cell lines, making it valuable for research applications in lung cancer, melanoma, epidermoid carcinoma, liver cancer, gastric cancer, colon adenocarcinoma, acute leukemia, breast cancer, and prostate cancer studies.
