4'-Acetoxy resveratrol

Resveratrol Derivative

4'-Acetoxy resveratrol is a derivative of resveratrol that functions primarily by modulating gene expression. It has been shown to upregulate important extracellular matrix components, including elastin and collagen types III and IV, as well as antioxidant enzymes like superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT). Additionally, it downregulates pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukins (IL-1A, IL-1R2, IL-6, IL-8) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). This compound is valuable for skin research, particularly in studies related to aging and inflammation.
