4-Aminohippuric acid-d4

Metal Ion Ligand

4-Aminohippuric acid-d4 is a deuterated derivative of 4-Aminohippuric acid, serving as a coordination ligand for metal ions including Cu2+, Fe3+, and Hg2+. This compound exhibits significant biological activity in the formation of stable metal-ligand complexes and in the functionalization of nanomaterials such as carbon nanotubes and gold nanoparticles. Its applications extend to the development of sensitive electrochemical and colorimetric sensors for the detection and quantitative analysis of heavy metal ions in environmental and biological samples. Additionally, 4-Aminohippuric acid has potential as a biomarker for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
