4β-Hydroxywithanolide E
Adipogenesis Inhibitor
4β-Hydroxywithanolide E is a potent adipogenesis inhibitor that targets key transcription factors involved in adipocyte differentiation. Isolated from Physalis peruviana L., this compound effectively inhibits the differentiation of 3T3-L1 cells by modulating mitotic clonal expansion. It downregulates the expression of PPARγ, C/EBPα, and the adipocyte-specific molecule aP2 mRNA, making it a valuable tool for research on obesity and metabolic disorders.
