5-Heptadecylresorcinol
Mitochondrial Protector
5-Heptadecylresorcinol is a phenolic lipid with potent mitochondrial protective properties. It enhances mitochondrial function through the sirtuin3 signaling pathway, mitigating endothelial cell damage and apoptosis. Additionally, 5-Heptadecylresorcinol stimulates sirtuin3-mediated autophagy and has been shown to reduce atherosclerotic plaques in the aortic root of murine models. This compound is valuable for research into the prevention of atherosclerosis and obesity.
