6,7-Dehydro Norethindrone

Norethisterone Metabolite

6,7-Dehydro Norethindrone, a metabolite of Norethisterone, primarily targets p53, a critical regulator of the cell cycle. This compound is produced through the biotransformation of Norethisterone by Rhizopus microsporus PT2906. It has been shown to induce apoptosis and inhibit the degradation of p53, displaying selective antitumor activity against cervical cancer. These properties make 6,7-Dehydro Norethindrone a valuable reagent for cancer research and studies focused on apoptosis mechanisms.
