7BIO

Indirubin Derivate

7BIO (7-Bromoindirubin-3-Oxime) is a derivative of indirubin that primarily targets cyclin-dependent kinase-5 (CDK5) and glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK3β). This compound exhibits significant inhibitory effects, leading to the reduction of Aβ oligomer-induced neuroinflammation, synaptic dysfunction, and tau hyperphosphorylation. Additionally, 7BIO attenuates the activation of astrocytes and microglia, as well as cognitive impairments associated with Aβ oligomers, making it a valuable tool for studying neurodegenerative processes and potential therapeutic interventions.
