8-Azido-ADP disodium

Mitochondrial Adenine Nucleotide Translocation Inhibitor

8-Azido-ADP disodium is a covalent-binding inhibitor targeting mitochondrial adenine nucleotide translocation. It irreversibly inhibits adenine nucleotide exchange in a light-dependent manner, disrupting the state 4 to 3 transitions of mitochondrial respiration triggered by ADP. Additionally, 8-Azido-ADP disodium serves as a versatile click chemistry reagent, featuring an azide group that participates in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloadditions and strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloadditions with alkyne-bearing molecules. This compound is valuable for studying mitochondrial function and developing biochemical probes.
