α1D Antagonist
A-123189 is a selective and potent α1D antagonist, demonstrating inhibition constants (Kis) of 0.312 nM for human α1D and 0.17 nM for rat α1D. This compound exhibits a selectivity ratio of 10 to 20-fold for the α1D receptor when compared to human α1A and rat α1A receptors. A-123189 is useful for investigating the role of α1D adrenergic signaling in various biological processes and disease models.
