A-192621

ETB Receptor Antagonist

A-192621 is a potent nonpeptide antagonist of the endothelin B (ETB) receptor, demonstrating an IC50 of 4.5 nM and a Ki of 8.8 nM. Its selectivity is notable, with a 636-fold preference over the endothelin A (ETA) receptor. This compound has been shown to promote apoptosis in pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMCs) and may contribute to elevated arterial blood pressure and increased plasma levels of endothelin-1 (ET-1). A-192621 is valuable for research applications involving endothelin signaling and cardiovascular physiology.
