Diuretic
A-49816 is an orally active diuretic that enhances urine output by promoting sodium and chloride excretion. In experimental animal studies, administration of A-49816 at higher doses (12.5, 15, and 20 mg) resulted in significant increases in both salt and chloride excretion, demonstrating its efficacy in inducing diuresis. This compound is useful for research applications related to fluid balance and renal function.
