αvβ6 Inhibitor
A20FMDV2 is a selective inhibitor of the αvβ6 integrin, displaying an IC50 of 3 nM and demonstrating over 1,000-fold specificity for αvβ6 compared to other RGD-directed integrins such as αvβ3, αvβ5, and α5β1. Derived from the foot-and-mouth disease virus, this 20-amino-acid peptide is well-suited for applications in cancer research, particularly for the targeting and imaging of αvβ6 integrin-positive tumors using radiolabeling techniques for PET imaging. Its high selectivity makes it a valuable tool for investigating the role of αvβ6 in tumor biology and potential therapeutic interventions.
