ABT-866

Adrenoceptor Modulator

ABT-866 is a selective α1A-adrenoceptor agonist and antagonist for the α1B- and α1D-adrenoceptor subtypes. It demonstrates an EC50 of 0.60 μM at the α1A receptor in rabbit urethra tissue and exhibits pA2 values of 5.4 and 6.2 at the α1B and α1D receptors in rat spleen and aorta, respectively. ABT-866 shows promising urethral selectivity with reduced cardiovascular side effects, making it a valuable tool for studying stress urinary incontinence and related disorders.
