Ac-H-FluNox

Prodrug

Ac-H-FluNox is an acetylated prodrug that targets intracellular esterases for hydrolysis, leading to the release of H-FluNox. Once activated, H-FluNox engages in a deoxygenation reaction with labile heme, resulting in a fluorescent product. This reagent is valuable for detecting variations in labile heme levels within living cells, particularly during acute nitric oxide stimulation and following the inhibition of heme export proteins, making it a powerful tool for studying cellular heme dynamics.
