Acid Ceramidase Inhibitor
Acid Ceramidase-IN-1 is a potent inhibitor of acid ceramidase (AC, ASAH-1) with an IC50 of 0.166 μM in human acid ceramidase. This compound effectively reduces AC activity, leading to the accumulation of specific ceramide species and a decrease in sphingosine levels. Acid Ceramidase-IN-1 is applicable in research focusing on severe neurological lysosomal storage diseases, including Gaucher’s disease and Krabbe’s disease.
