Acrovestone

Anticancer Agent

Acrovestone is an Acronychia-type acetophenone dimer that functions as a selective anticancer agent. It demonstrates potent cytotoxicity with IC50 values of 0.38 μM against A2058 melanoma cells and 0.93 μM against DU145 prostate cancer cells, while exhibiting minimal inhibitory effects on normal human dermal fibroblasts (IC50 >5 μM). This compound is suitable for research applications targeting melanoma and prostate cancer, providing a foundation for investigating its therapeutic potential. Acrovestone can be naturally sourced from the trunk bark of Acronychia pedunculata.
