Adrenalone

Adrenergic Agonist

Adrenalone functions as an adrenergic agonist, primarily acting as a topical vasoconstrictor and hemostatic agent. In addition to its vasoconstrictive properties, Adrenalone serves as an inhibitor of dopamine β-oxidase, which may impact catecholamine metabolism. With a reported IC50 value of 36.9 μM, Adrenalone shares structural similarities with established norepinephrine transporter (NET) ligands, making it relevant in pharmacological studies focused on adrenergic signaling and vascular dynamics.
