AGI-41998

MAT2A Inhibitor

AGI-41998 is a selective inhibitor of methionine adenosyltransferase 2A (MAT2A) that displays potent inhibitory activity with an IC50 of 22 nM in HCT-116 MTAP-null cells. This compound effectively crosses the blood-brain barrier and demonstrates the ability to inhibit S-adenosyl methionine (SAM) synthesis, with an IC50 of 34 nM. AGI-41998 is valuable for studying SAM regulation in the central nervous system (CNS) as well as for investigating its role in the proliferation of colon cancer cells and tumor growth.
