MAT2A Inhibitor
AGI-43192 is a selective inhibitor of methionine adenosyltransferase 2A (MAT2A) that exhibits limited blood-brain barrier penetration. It demonstrates potent inhibitory activity against MAT2A and S-adenosyl methionine (SAM) in HCT-116 MTAP-null cells, with IC50 values of 32 nM and 14 nM, respectively. Furthermore, AGI-43192 effectively inhibits the proliferation of HCT-116 cells and reduces tumor growth, making it a valuable tool for investigating SAM regulation in both the central nervous system (CNS) and colon cancer research applications.
