Alaptide

Derivative Of MIF

Alaptide is a spirocyclic synthetic dipeptide and a derivative of melanocyte-stimulating hormone release-inhibiting factor (MIF). It acts as a transdermal permeation modifier, enhancing the healing process of skin incisions and burns when incorporated into nanofibrous membranes. Additionally, Alaptide serves as a nootropic agent, modulating the dopaminergic system and elevating homovanillic acid levels in rat striatum. Its applications extend to research in wound healing for extensive injuries as well as studies related to neurological disorders.
