Amastatin

AP Inhibitor

Amastatin is a competitive inhibitor of aminopeptidase (AP) with a slow and tightly bound mechanism of action, exhibiting an IC50 of 0.54 μg/mL for AP-A. This reagent is primarily utilized in biochemical research to study the role of aminopeptidases in various physiological processes and disease states. Its ability to inhibit AP activity makes it a valuable tool for investigating peptide metabolism and enzymatic regulation in cellular assays.
