Ambamustine

Alkylating Agent

Ambamustine is a bifunctional alkylating agent that induces DNA damage through alkylation mechanisms. It selectively interferes with the late stages of processing and maturation of the murine mammary tumor virus (MuMTV), leading to a reduction in the production of this B-type retrovirus. Ambamustine exhibits notable cytolytic and antiviral activities, making it a valuable tool in cancer research and virology studies.
