Amylin (20-29) (human)

Hiapp Fragment

Amylin (20-29) (human) is a fragment derived from human islet amyloid polypeptide (hIAPP), which plays a role in amyloid formation. This peptide, consisting of amino acids 20 to 29, is critical for understanding the amyloidogenic properties of the full-length hIAPP. It is applicable in research focused on amyloid formation and offers avenues for developing beta-sheet breaker peptides through conversion into peptoid and retropeptoid sequences, which can serve as potential amyloid inhibitors.
