Anabsinthin

Dimeric Sesquiterpene Lactone

Anabsinthin is a dimeric sesquiterpene lactone derived from Artemisia absinthium L. It effectively modulates intracellular calcium levels and exhibits notable anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Anabsinthin has been shown to inhibit superoxide anion production induced by Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate, as well as decrease the expression of iNOS and MUC5AC proteins while regulating IL-1β transcription. This compound is valuable for research applications, including studies related to citrus canker.
