Anaxirone

Anti-tumor Agent

Anaxirone is an anti-tumor agent that functions through alkylation of biological macromolecules, including DNA, by its epoxy group. This mechanism disrupts the proliferation of tumor cells, making Anaxirone particularly relevant for research focused on solid tumors such as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Notably, Anaxirone may present dose-limiting toxicity and gastrointestinal side effects, which are important considerations in its application for therapeutic research.
