Angiogenesis Inhibitor 2 is a potent inhibitor of angiogenesis, primarily targeting endothelial cell proliferation. This compound effectively inhibits the growth of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) and HCT-15 colorectal cancer cells, exhibiting IC50 values of 1.93 μM and 0.21 μM, respectively. Additionally, Angiogenesis Inhibitor 2 induces apoptosis in these cell lines and demonstrates significant anticancer properties by suppressing cancer cell invasion. Its efficacy is further illustrated in in vivo models, where it inhibits angiogenesis in zebrafish embryos, making it a valuable tool in cancer research and drug development.
