Anisodine

Neuroprotective Compound

Anisodine is a neuroprotective compound that primarily targets M1, M2, M4, and M5 receptors in brain tissues under hypoxic and reoxygenation conditions. This compound effectively inhibits calcium ion influx and reduces levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS), thereby mitigating oxidative stress. Additionally, Anisodine lowers aspartate levels during episodes of hypoxia, making it a valuable tool for researching neuroprotection and hypoxic injury mechanisms.
