Anticancer agent 306

Anticancer Agent

Anticancer Agent 306 is a spiro tetramic acid derivative that serves as an inhibitor of MMP1, MMP7, and PLK1. It demonstrates potent antiproliferative effects against H1299, RKO, and MCF-7 cell lines, with IC50 values of 19.25 μM, 3.29 μM, and 102.36 μM, respectively. This compound induces cell cycle arrest by up-regulating p21 while down-regulating CCND1 and CCNB1, and also promotes apoptosis by modulating Bcl-2 and Bax expression. Additionally, Anticancer Agent 306 inhibits tumor invasion and metastasis through the down-regulation of MMP1 and MMP7. It is applicable in cancer research focused on lung, colorectal, and breast cancers.
