Antifolate C2

Antipurine Antifolate Drug

Antifolate C2 is an antipurine antifolate drug that selectively inhibits the proton-coupled folate transporter (PCFT). This compound exerts its biological activity by targeting glycinamide ribonucleotide formyltransferase (GARFTase), disrupting deoxypurine nucleotide biosynthesis and subsequently inhibiting the proliferation of non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NS-NSCLC) cells. Antifolate C2 is particularly suitable for research applications focused on NS-NSCLC, especially for patients who exhibit resistance to traditional treatments such as Pemetrexed.
