Antioxidant Agent-3, also known as Compound 14q, functions primarily as a potent antioxidant. It exhibits significant DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities, with IC50 values of 26.58 μM and 30.31 μM, respectively. Furthermore, Antioxidant Agent-3 enhances levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and glutathione (GSH), while reducing lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in H2O2-treated HepG2 cells, making it valuable for studies investigating oxidative stress and cellular response mechanisms.
