Antiproliferative agent-61

Apoptosi

Antiproliferative agent-61 is a synthetic β-carlinyl chalcone that targets apoptosis pathways to exhibit significant antiproliferative effects. This compound demonstrates robust activity across various solid tumor cell lines, particularly in breast cancer models, with IC50 values of 2.25 and 3.29 μM in the MCF-7 cell line. Antiproliferative agent-61 effectively induces DNA fragmentation and apoptosis, while also inhibiting the MDM2-p53 interaction and promoting MDM2 degradation. This makes it a valuable reagent for cancer research focused on therapeutic strategies targeting apoptosis and tumor growth suppression.
