Antitumor agent-37 is a potent anti-tumor reagent that exhibits significant anti-proliferative and anti-metastatic activities. It induces substantial DNA damage, leading to the activation of γ-H2AX and the tumor suppressor p53. This compound promotes apoptosis in tumor cells via the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway, specifically modulating the Bcl-2/Bax/caspase-3 cascade. Additionally, Antitumor agent-37 enhances immune response by inhibiting PD-L1 expression, resulting in increased infiltration of CD3+ and CD8+ T cells in tumor microenvironments.
