AP39

Mitochondrial H2S Donor

AP39 is a mitochondrial-targeting hydrogen sulfide (H2S) donor derived from triphenylphosphonium and anethole dithiolethione. This compound elevates intracellular H2S levels, providing cytoprotective effects and preserving mitochondrial DNA integrity under oxidative stress. Research has demonstrated AP39's protective role against myocardial reperfusion injury in mouse models, as well as its potential applications in Alzheimer's disease studies.
