Ap4A tetraammonium

Second Messenger

Ap4A tetraammonium (P1,P4-Di-(adenosine-5')-tetraphosphate tetraammonium) functions as a conserved second messenger across a wide range of organisms, from bacteria to humans. This compound interacts with the histidine triad nucleotide-binding protein 1 (HINT1), facilitating the transcription of genes regulated by MITF. Additionally, Ap4A tetraammonium has been shown to induce apoptosis, making it a relevant reagent for studies in cellular signaling and gene expression modulation.
